Upcoming Meetings

Some organizations discuss exporting and the "how to's" from the broadest of perspectives.  As a result, managers get excited about the markets waiting for them and their company's products...and rightfully.  However, the factors involved in long-term success go way beyond the broad explorations of the market potential.  ICE offers the details you need to ensure success in the international marketplace.

The ICE Group helps members with key elements to be successful in the global marketplace:

  • Understanding the economic and political conditions in your markets
  • Meeting customer needs for credit terms and sales financing
  • Maximizing sales and profits by making sound business decisions
  • Networking with professionals engaged in international business.

  • ICE offers solutions & tools to realize sales & profits. Members "roll-up their sleeves" and engage with manufacturing and service industry experts to share expertise and experience. Learning and networking are key elements of the ICE Group. The ICE board of directors includes representatives from these member companies...
    • Weir Minerals
    • Trade Acceptance Group (TAG)
    • Crescendo Trade
    • LR International
    • National Presto Industries
    • Perlick Corp
    • Oshkosh Corporation
    • Alliance Laundry Systems
    • Briggs & Stratton Corp
    • Johnsonville Sausage LLC
    • Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC)

Failure to use Incoterms leads to problems. Parties in international shipping must understand how Incoterms vary. Failure to understand the correct definition of each Incoterm used will lead to problems throughout the subsequent supply chain. Furthermore, misused Incoterms may affect payment of goods, delivery schedules, increased costs, poor inventory control, and negative customer interactions. From distribution centers to shipping recipients, improper or missing Incoterms dramatically disrupts the flow of goods and damages a given company's reputation. Since Incoterms define the monetary and procedural aspects of all international shipping practices, Incoterms are essential to ensuring proper, timely payment of goods and services. Incoterms ensure all parties are able to maintain a competitive advantage in the international supply chain, in all transactions. As a result, sellers and shippers can maintain compliance with changing laws in international trade. You will leave with a thorough understanding of Incoterms at this presentation!
